120310. alice was so fun to watch! alot of my friends dont like it because the storyline isnt
similar to the book's. i think that's what actually made the movie so exciting for me. it was
entertaining and i guess a remake of the plot from book wouldve been quite boring. especially
since almost everyone has read the book. i dont think they completely "killed" it, i thought it
was a good adaptation. visually breath-taking. helena carter was so many levels of awesome. i
love her. sweeney todd, fight club, hamlet, harry potter, now in alice. if she's ever to reproduce,
i personally think a carter-burton would be too talented for normal life.

au revoir simone was so intimate and pretty. they made me want to put flowers in my hair, burn
nice scented candles, draw flowers in my notebook and smoke ten cigarettes.
isa, hakeem, nufail,
sonia and i were right in front! was hoping they would play
"stay golden", but it was mostly new
songs. they ended the set perfectly with "through the backyards". it was the most chilled out gig
ever + we had free drinks and the heineken music club is so cozy. i could sleep there forever.

great birthday present meek. thanks :)

(photo: bryan quah. great shot dude.)

woke up to stefan's face on my desktop wallpaper that morning. nothing but mud on the floor
and air thick with marijuana. non-surprisingly. sighed waves ofdisbelief at every you every me,
special needs, meds, the never-ending why, special k, the bitter end. smiled on the inside during
"julien". massive encore left me wanting so much more. WHY DIDNT THEY PLAY BIONIC!!!
but still happiest i've felt in a while. alot of "teenage dream come true". but i'm still 19, so it really
did feel like a dream. a sticky/sweaty, throat-hurting, mind-blowing dream.

such a huge juxtapose to placebo the night before. erlend is really the cutest dorkiest person, he
even wins napoleon dynamite (whom i love dearly). firefight josh was a few seats away and i
liked how he was singing loudly to every word of every song. flint was 3 rows down, giving a
standing ovation after each song without fail. it was a happy crowd. eirik said we were "louder
than last night" well of course since our show was the first show they released and sold out quite
quickly. hardcore fans!! felt very nostalgic when they strummed the intro to "i dont know what i
can save you from" .. a pang of sadness. good kind of sadness. they didnt play winning the battle
losing the war and gold in the air of summer, which was a real bummer for me. erlend and eirik
was singing at haji on wednesday night, then was at makansutra friday night (zizie got an
autograph!) and then clarke quay to sing again (jessica was there.) so cute they're so friendly and
willing to meet fans outside. i hope they go to the arts museum tonight!!!! x fingers.
