LYMBYC SYSTYM
Lymbyc Systym’s cinematic sonic landscapes are generated by brothers Jared and Michael Bell,
who had previously been members of various bands in Tempe, AZ. Jared and Michael had been
collaborating since their preteens, messing around with toy guitars and drum sets. They finally
joined forces in 2001 for Lymbyc Systym, which balances acoustic instruments and programming.
The two have since relocated to Brooklyn NY and have earned opening slots for such bands as
the Album Leaf, Crystal Castles, Broken Social Scene, Junior Boys, Blonde Redhead and Mice
Parade, among others. An EP, Carved by Glaciers (2005, Magic Bullet), was followed by Love
Your Abuser (2007, Mush/), a split EP w/ label mates This Will Destroy You (2008, Magic
Bullet) and a second full length Shutter Release (2009, Mush/).
